Texas is asking people to NOT turn on their water taps and let them trickle as there is a water shortage in Texas now and low water pressure which is hampering fire fighters. Be aware of what is happening before you do something like this!

We are freezing down here - our homes are not made for a 100-year winter storm. No one here has snowtires or knows how to drive in it. Power and water intermittently on and off. I am luckier than most - I have a gas stove and fireplace, so I can keep a little warmth going. My model bench sits beside a large window, so I can paint a little during the day. Lot of hours to wait until it thaws.....
