I was attending college, but was in the USNR at the time. But was Never deployed...... I felt 'robbed' because I had seven (7) cousins & friends that all went. But when I spoke to a cousin of mine, he told me, "....Dude, you'd wouldn't like it..... It's just like Barstow, CA but you can't get a beer." Stayed on with USNR, became a teacher, married - kid, bought my first house & car, lost both parents Pre-COVID.

Thats almost half my lifetime now. I guess you could say how much and little things have changed in that time.
For me I had not yet-bought my first house yet,been married and lost my dear wife Sue, lost the hair on top of my head, been fired, owned a computer,owned a 88 BMW M3,96 Mustang Cobra, built wooden ship models ,won several Best of Show Ship Awards.
