... the scratch & dent table at the warehouse was a big draw
Squadron was a great supporter of IPMS North Central Texas. They used to open their warehouse Friday mornings before a Saturday ScaleFest show. Lines would form early to get in first and get a crack at the scratch & dent stuff. They would run a bus from the show to the warehouse. Squadron continues to support IPMS NCT, although the last few years they had dialed back the open warehouse. They brought a big U-Haul to the show with scratch & dents and overstocks and bought up a whole meeting room of space. They supplied much of our Make and Take models at a much reduced cost.
More recently their warehouse was open for shopping during Squadron's own EagleQuest show. Their 2020 show was cancelled before COVID got to it.
Squadron had also started to warehouse pickup for locals, even before COVID made the practice popular. Order & pickup at the warehouse the next day. It saved on shipping, but as a Texas resident it didn't save on the sales tax
