I checked my kit and both W sprues have parts #41. They are sort of "W" shaped with an angle. They are not extremely small parts, as there are many parts far smaller! I have had only one instance of a missing part in a Flyhawk kit - a superstructure piece was missing and there were doubles of a different part in a Kelly. I contacted the vendor (in China) and as soon as I was able to get him to understand the problem he promptly sent me a replacement part.

I am making progress on my 1/700 Scharnhorst build. Today I started work on the aircraft cranes. Each of these has 6 styrene and two pe parts. One of the styrene parts is called W-41. There are two “W” sprues, and neither of them have part 41. There is a numbered gate for it, but no part. I know I am getting forgetful, but there is no reason I would have cut this part from both sprues and then misplaced them. I am wondering if this is a manufacturing problem with extremely small parts?
Anyone else have a similar experience?
I can scratch build my way around the problem.
