Hopefully more photos will surface for such ships as Shinano and Taiho one day.

I received this from a friend:
Something for the warship guys out there >
>I found this during a random internet trawl. It’s a report from the Second Disarmament Bureau (formerly known as the Imperial Japanese Navy - the Army was the First Disarmament Bureau) on all of the ships in the possession of the IJN at the end of the war, including losses and missing ships (a lot of ships just disappeared from the Japanese point of view). And not just the big ships. It includes everything from battleships to yard boats and landing craft.

>What got me was that all the illustrations in the book are hand drawn (and really well done), and the preface includes an apology from the author (who was probably an IJN officer or a bureaucrat) for his shortcomings in English.
