Nice build, thank you for posting; brought back memories from...about 1980-ish when the kit was new.
Another memory; 'used a Calypso shark in a diorama of a converted Revell PT-109 as a Solomons gunboat with an A6M2N wingtip and float projecting from the "water," a red stain nearby and the shark exiting the scene.
There is a rather good hardbound book of fairly recent vintage on Calypso I.
