Never Mix Polly Scale or Testors Acrylic with lacquer thinner

I don’t know where that came from but the two do not work at all. A little water and stir. If you have Model Master Acrylic thinner even better. Unfortunately along with Testors paint their acrylic thinner was discontinued as well.

Sad ending for Testors but management wise they went off the deep end in quality control and customer service. If you called them, they just ignored you. One of the reasons I dropped buying their paint and went with Floquil /Polly Scale. Big difference with Floquil, good people and very customer service oriented. Sad to see them go as well.

FWIW, lacquer thinner works great with the Gunze Aqueous paints, too.

Not at all with the old PolyS and Testors Acryl lines, tho.

To whom it may concern,

I only want to use lacquer paints these days, but I have alotta enamel paints on the shelf.

I have found that if I thin the emamels w/lacquer thinner they spray fine and dry fast. Not instantly like MRP does, but much faster than regular enamels!

I am having really good luck with this!

I think the kids would call this a "life hack."
