Re: Mr Hobby Colors
LOL, believe it or not, i have even used "Naptha" with Testors enamel with great results! the Airbrush thinner they sold was way to spendy for me so i gave naptha a shot and it worked Great! nothing wrong with experimenting, often leads to great money saving discoveries. another life hack is using MEK as an adhesive, WOW does that work well! also Tolulene as it is the main ingredient in testors glue..LOL you can get a whole quart for under 10 bucks and that will build a TON of models..Cheers!
FWIW, lacquer thinner works great with the Gunze Aqueous paints, too.
Not at all with the old PolyS and Testors Acryl lines, tho.
To whom it may concern,
I only want to use lacquer paints these days, but I have alotta enamel paints on the shelf.
I have found that if I thin the emamels w/lacquer thinner they spray fine and dry fast. Not instantly like MRP does, but much faster than regular enamels!
I am having really good luck with this!
I think the kids would call this a "life hack."
