I used to use black followed by a clear gloss, but recently I've used matte black followed by Tamiya (or other) Clear Blue X23. Then dry brush a highlighting shade lightly over the window frames (to cover any over-painting) along with the rest of the raised detail.

Happy 2021.
I use H-26 from Hobby color (smoke Blue) or H-95 (Smoke Gray) applied with a toothpick or with a Cyanoacrylate applicator on the window touching the bottom and the color expands by capillarity going to occupy only the interested part. Obviously apply a little at a time and if necessary repeat the operation as soon as the first layer has dried. It depends on how thick you want to thicken the part.
