My neutral gray Polly Scale is a very deep and dark Gray which could be used as non-skid on a flight deck. You are suggesting a lighter gray than what I have in my collection of paints. I am I correct? I have loads of CP Gray which is an exact match to modern USN Haze Gray. I am wondering and thinking out loud if I watered it down and used it as a wash or light gray colored pencil? Thoughts maybe too dark still?

The point is, paint loses its distinct color as it is weathered, and becomes more towards a neutral gray (devoid of color). It is important to use a neutral gray because a gray made with titanium white has blue in the black. Neutral has bone black, no blue.
