Has anyone tried the pre-painted metal flags from Eduard?
They come in a number of nationalities and several scales.

Thanks Ed. I'll try it. I consume lots of wine since the China virus. Previous Message
My method is wine hood lead (yes, I know it isn’t lead).
Step 1. Go to the adult beverage store and purchase a bottle or three which have cork stoppers (no twist offs here). Get ones without cellophane hoods, metal ones are needed.
Step 2. Open the wine and enjoy with a good meal or a poor meal and good company. Slit the cork hood and remove before recycling the bottle.
Step 3. Flatten the lead. Trim square. Measure and cut strips the size of your flag decal. Prime and paint the majority of the flag with the basic flag color. Repeat step 2
Step 4. Apply the decal with setting solution of your choice. Deal with finish coat of your choice. Repeat step 2
Step 5. Furl and wrinkle the flag as desired. Too much may hamper the attachment of the flag to the halyard
Step 6. Glue the flag to the halyard. Repeat for a hoist of signal flags. Superglue or fast PVA. Flat coat to kill the shine and blend it all together.
You may attach the flag(s) to a pre-rigged halyard or to a length of stretched sprue for later final assembly
