Your "Sac" (the ship) is looking Good.....I envious of that boot line, My biggest problem when I build full hull.
But I have another idea of refuel lines... how bout some old earphone wires. When I built my vapor trails on my Ospreys on JS Hyuga build, I came upon the idea of using old USB or headphones pulling out the wires from there....they are quite small, flexible, and durable for the most part. Paint can go on their quite well, I painted my wires a semi-flat white ( I really don't think that makes a difference, just flat white ).

Thanks Andrew, and good work with all your projects. Your work looks realistic, especially 1/700 scale.
I didn't think to use thin solder so I'll give it a try. I also like your suggestion with the wire eyelets. Presumably you had to drill (pin vice) a tiny hole for the eyelet to fit into.

Consider using fine lead/tin solder, like so:
Note the RAS delivery hose (fine solder on three eyelets from twisted copper wire)

Hi, we're in lockdown here so I've been getting on building alot of my stashed kits.
This one is USS SACREMENTO AOE-1 in 1/700 scale by Trumpeter.
I'm thinking about ways to detail the fuel lines and the various wires that connect them to the deck winches so I've searched the net and found some diagrams. If I do this though it's got to look correct. I was thinking about making the fuel pipes from black stretched sprue. Ideas welcome!
The actual ship used to have the nickname "Sac".
