Re: Standard 220-hp Engines
Please check out this website about the book Cinderfellas of the Fleet by Ltjg William W.Nutting USNRF, published by the Standard Motor Construction Co.,1920. This book is a commentative book for the WW1 Victory. This company got the contracts to make the Standard 220-hp Engines for both the RN Motor Launches and USN 110ft subchasers . Just type in Cinderfellas of the fleet Nutting,William Wasburn 1884 in the search box and this will take to this book.
I tried to create a link didn't work.
This is from the University of Michigan . The page is called Internet Archive.HTH.
Can anyone here tell me, either an online source or a book that would give me 1nformation about the Standard 220-hp engines used in the Elco 80-foot MLs built for the RN, and in the 110-ft SC-1 Class SCs of WWI?
