I built the old Exeter kit and it went togather alright. Granted it's over 40 yrs. But you have the Exeter in her Battle of River Plate configuration .
Why not build the Exeter and get Aoshima kit Exeter which is after the ships repair and returned to service in 1941 and her loss in 1942.You could have both.Just a suggestion.
I did this once with the MatchBox San Deigo
and the Skywave San Diego years ago.

I have had the 1/700 Matchbox Exeter sitting on my shelf for years. I know Aoshima has one and I'm quite sure it's a much better kit. My goal in building either one is for my own personal display and not for competition. Not looking for any particular time frame or fit and I would be adding some aftermarket parts. Would I be happy enough with the Matchbox kit or should I splurge for the upgrade?
