That lower hull made matters worse in the old oil tanker bow appearance. Then Tom put out a waterline hull (not full hull) that did not align with Trumpeter flight deck.

since there are questions/answers about the Tom's HORNET kit, it is waterline, but does Trumpeter have a Lower Hull and can you use Trumpeter hull??

i was going to get a Tamiya USS HORNET in 1:700 off of Facebook's Market Place for $15 ... but - I backed out of the deal. I decided to get a Hasegawa F-9F off Amazon, and decals for it off Ebay...
But, f I ever decide to get the HORNET, could I have it built NOT as the Dolittle Raid HORNET ... Could I have it built as the Midway HORNET?
How was she armed during that battle?
