Or maybe it was "cleansed" by the BBC by not saying it was a BRITISH bomb when most folks would have assumed the bomb to be either Soviet or German. The ID of the bomb was known yet the editors called it Polish. That was my observation about the choice of headline. Journalists are well aware about their choice of words. They could have easily said "RAF" instead of Polish. Why?
The title is short, but only misleading if you ignore most of the words in the title, especially "explodes during attempt to defuse it". Most Europeans are used to news about defusing of WW2 bombs (and the necessary evacuations) and therefore would not thought about a bomb built in Poland.
