Re: Are you trying to kill my business?
My apologies for making it sound that way. No,in today's economic climate I would never wish ill on a small business owner. I actually wrote that half in jest. Every time I go through my stash I see the Houston daring me to open the box. The same happened with Combrig's Invincible. Now there is a kit I though would we would never see in plastic. I have actually spent the last couple of mornings on it and so far I'm very pleased. I like plastic but there are areas in resin I prefer. I have some spare parts from other kits for the secondary armament and maybe the lifeboats. The area that will give me fits might be the tripod masts. I look forward to finishing the project and seeing what else Corsair offers.
What did I do to you?
I have already had plastic kits replace my Knox class frigate, Wasp and since Trumpeter did a 1/350 Ranger, everyone is waiting for that in 1/700.
The only plans that I've seen of a Northampton class cruiser were of a 1945 Louisville. Five of the eight products I sell are variations of the class that resulted from exhaustive research and digging for references. If a plastic kit were to appear, in all likelihood they will have used one of my kits for a reference pattern. Is there something lacking from my kits?
If you don't like resin, can't you please find something else to build until I'm gone? I need the extra money and I'm only partly joking.
