I wasn't sure what the cockpit shield was, but figured it out. (I kept focusing on the clear windscreen!)
Not many decent pics of it and it is missing on many boats.
I am not aware. Is this gonna require a tear down or can I buy a 1/72 sailor and have him sit on it to cover up?
Are you aware the cockpit shield is installed incorrectly?
I never did such a large scale navy subject. That was awesome, being able to see everything w/o a microscope.
Decided to prop the PT-109 on an actual coconut, which made me learn how to crack open a coconut.
Used a rusty wash of craft paint and pastel chalk dust which worked well.
Pretty easy build compared to what we're usually up against. Alotta leeway for camo as nobody knows the exact color, it seems. Locally mixed I guess.
Recommended for a really nice kit of a great subject.
