Over 25 years ago--when I built this model-- I recall there was was insufficient sheerline
( deckspring fore and aft )in the hull...?
( back then I was using images of the
USS Cassin Young .
I recall that I pared and sanded out the bow to midships area-- and then made the deck conform to the new sheer-line.
in the end it all did look pretty good.
The model was given away to an elderly ex USN Fletcher class sailor gent who was living in the UK
alas I have lost track of the unfortunately.
Before builiding--do check the sheerline of the kit against a plan; and... remmeber to sand off the bottoms of the deckhouses/ Bridge block slightly to conform to the sheer-line
