I've had some good luck when straightening resin masts (and gun barrels and propeller shafts) when holding both ends of the resin rod and moving the warped area quickly over a candle flame. This takes some practice to do properly, and often ends in warping the rod in the opposite way, but usually these problems are correctable by repeating the procedure. Best of all, of course, is substituting brass rod or even Evergreen plastic rods.
Have a couple of resin warship model kits with resin masts. They are bent or not straight. What is the recommended fix (other than brass rod)? Boil in water then try to straighten?
