Re: Colourcoats thinner
Note that two of our paints are incompatible with cellulose based thinners; namely ACLW30 and ACUS46. The pigments will react and gel.
Not all cellulose based thinners are equal either even if they carry the same UN1263 classification. We have some right now that's proven useless for our usual tinlid spraying purposes as it gels all of them - yet other brands are fine.
Feel free to try it, but please test a small quantity in a separate container - DO NOT pour 3rd party chemicals straight into the paint tin. Or do it - so long as it's paid for it's not my problem - but fair warning is given :D
I generally use lacquer thinner. It atomizes a bit better and drys quicker. Sorry though Richard, the gods in Sacramento think you are going to drink the stuff, it is banned in your state. The first thing I did when I left California was run down to Colpar Hobbies and buy some of the stuff. Oh the joy of building models the way I want to :-)
