You want to select/download/open Amendment 1, then go to Page 11 (Table IV)
If you do read earlier parts of the doc, at the bottom of Page 4 it states that US Navy color names appear in Table IV. It then goes on to list various AMS color numbers with names. In this section, 26270 gets listed as Interior Haze Gray on Page 6. However, on Page 11, in Table IV, which is US Navy color names, it gets labeled as #27 Haze Gray. That would then be what the Navy calls it.
As I say, I have seen it listed this way before, but by various paint manufacturers who sell official mil-spec paints to the government. I finally have an official doc which specifically says this is the Navy name to boot. Works for me. I have also been told it privately in emails by several folks who I feel should know, but they were even less authoritative than the mil-spec paint manufacturers. "My friend Soandso says so" isn't really convincing somehow...
