I was in that thread. I posted about being told the US did night strategic bombing. General Hap Arnold has said that's not so. He has claimed the US bombed by day.
So, my question for you would be... Which veteran do I believe? Do I believe my high school history teacher, or Hap Arnold? They're both vets. Whom am I to believe when two vets each tell two different stories about the same event?
That would be the thrust of the thread, sir. No one was knocking veterans. They were discussing the difficulties when veterans' stories are not in agreement.
My second question is: What, exactly, do you know about Ulithi? What David said about it was that he showed his dad the photograph of carriers in dazzle. So, are you saying they were not in dazzle at Ulithi? Are you saying that image was not Ulithi? What are you claiming about Ulithi? And is it relevant to what David was saying about the photo, which is that the ships there were in dazzle? You say you know something about Ulithi. Well, I would certainly love to know what. Veteran's stories are important. Please, tell us your Ulithi story. You've got an audience, and an "open microphone." You're on, Bob! Go!
