Like Peter, I am not familiar with the Dolphin kits (even though I have over 90 submarine kits/ models). I found some photos of the kit contents online, however. I would use the Torricelli kit as a starting point. Both of the subs were postwar snorkel conversions, so there are relatively few changes from their WWII Balao configuration, except for the fairwater being streamlined. So, one of Peterís resized Balao conning towers should get you there.
Be aware that there are a few different Balao fairwater designs, mostly differing in details that only afficiandos (and rivet counters) appreciate.
For guns, you will need a 5/25 deck gun and either 20mm or Bofors for the fairwater deck gun positions. These gun fittings changed as the war progressed.
One thing I did notice is that the kit supplies 3 bladed photoetch propellers. WWII Balao subs had 4 blade propellers exclusively. For complete accuracy, the kit screws should be replaced.
