I have used black and white EZ line to rig my 1/350 - 1/400 scale models. To reduce its natural shine I have painted both types with enamel and acrylic paint with no adverse effects. Even the thinners mixed with the former has not caused any damage and I have strung line well over ten years old.
EZ line is very handy because it can be tensioned without puting any strain on delicate masts and other parts and also sits slack convincingly if needed. It offers an alternative to stretched sprue which needs to be delicately heated or warmed after application to tension it.
Super glue will stick it instantly.
Its one big downside is that the line is flat instead of round but for all its other advantages I don't worry about that.
