depending on how much you download & edit each month, you might want to do a fresh backup of your downloaded data each month. i'll be doing a fresh copy of my 41gb ships folder as soon as I finish editing my American Booklet of General Plans. my ships folder will then be copied to my external hard drive then copied to my upstairs computer so i'll ended up with 3 copies.
Pretty much anything you can download on the internet is fair game for personal use.
Save the photos on your computer and make back ups every year or so.
Only print the ones you need at the time you need them, otherwise, it gets too expensive and takes up too much space.
I would like to start a printed photos collection of ships. What is the best way to do that?
I just want to place them in binders by categories or countries.
Am I allowed to grab copyrighted pics online and print them on photo paper knowing that it is just for me and not for resale?
Maybe I will have to ask the owner of the pic permission?
I would probably have to buy a laser printer too.
A lot of postcards exist at least for US ships, not sure about foreign navies.
Thxs a lot
