I personally don't mind these representations as do many others, but I have noticed that some people are offended at worst, or are not that pleased at least.
So, searching out 'AWM' I came across this box art for a famous "wingy thingy" as many like to refer to a/c, and was quite amazed at the audaciousness of it even though it is quite honest.
The artist has captured almost to the instant when about 40,000 people were killed, and the aerial depiction of Hiroshima is quite good and you could almost imagine the 'T' bridge vapourising even if you can't see it. Also the shockwave is well done as it expands on its smashing journey. Perhaps 82 is a little too close to the action but good box art is always exaggerated a little.
The most impressive item though is the title:
'American Nuclear Killer'!
Well, they have got it right but definitely no holding back on the judgement, and there can be no doubt that this whole presentation is intented to be a judgement in the negative (to create sales? well here I am!).
No favours to the USA from the Russians hey, for bringing a terrible and long lasting war to the quickest conclusion possible. None what so ever.
Anyway I very much like the B-29 and unorthodox box art so I'll be adding it to the pile, and I'm curios as to what the AWM thinks about brand. The AWM cannot make money, that is trade like a company, so obviously does it have a trade mark or not? I'll send them a copy and see what they think .
