Re: Mikro Mir 350 Submarines
My Local Hobby Shop
stocks them fairly regularly and I've got most, if not all of the US models and a fair amount of the Soviet and other navies. I can't comment as to accuracy but they look decent and I haven't run into any building issues. The quality of molding isn't Tamiya but it's more than passable and the prices are good. I've bought several subjects I already had in resin but haven't built yet "again" as I anticipate the build process will be easier and the results just as good.
I've only started the Triton 1M
seriously but I snipped the hull pieces off the tree on a couple of others and the fit looked decent. There is actual flooding hole detail on the bottom of the hulls (again, not sure about accuracy). Propellers are generally photo-etch (plus or minus depending on who you are).
Does anyone have experience with this company from Ukraine? They make several types, including many US Nuclear subs. I am interested in their USS Lafayette---is it a good kit, is it accurate?
