I'm glad you liked the 'Town' class book and the plans book on HMS Birmingham. Thanks also for the encouragement with respect to the Fiji sequel.
I did try to interest Seaforth in a plans book on HMS Blake, not only because - as you will know - she was both the last RN cruiser and the last 'all gun' cruiser in the world to be completed but also because there is an unusually complete collection of photographs of her on completion and I hoped to merge plans and photos to produce a unique record. However, Seaforth didn't believe the idea was a commercial proposition so that particular project won't see the light of day. Some of the material will however find its way into the book on the Fijis.
I believe Seaforth do, however, want to continue to produce more plans books (on more mainstream topics) and I suspect these will include other cruisers in the fullness of time. It's not something I'm currently involved with though as researching one class of ship at a time is as much as I'm capable of.
Thanks for the heads up on Ships Cover 789. Much of the research battle is knowing exactly what's out there and I'll certainly be adding it to my (long) list of material to look at.
