Re: Details inside of airplane kits
The late, great modeler Shep Paine didn't even bother to paint the side of the figures in his box dioramas which wouldn't show on completion.
An acquaintance built a 1/72 Lancaster bomber with complete PE interior detail. He was a little upset on completion when over 90% of the work was not visible! (But he knew it was there!)
I知 in the process of building a Tamiya aircraft with unbelievable detailing inside the planes guts. The kit is fantastic and I知 loving the build but when I attach all outer skins, all that detail is hidden! I知 wondering the purpose of such details. I did a great job with the cockpit and when I assembled the two halves of the fuselage, almost all the details are hidden...feeling very dejected about now! Comments welcome
