Re: Command ship USS Mount Whitney (photos, extra stack?)
Thank you Falk for taking these photos. I have noticed when I do cruises that there are either police or US Coast Guard patrol boats escorting the ship in and out of the harbors. The Coast Guard boats always have their M-249 bow mounts manned. Again thank you.
I took these pictures while the ship was sailing down, respectively up the Kiel fjord, i.e. in open international waters. Also, Mount Whitley didn't enter the naval port. She was moored at the outside of a pier near the entrance of Kiel canal.
