I provided the RGB or CMYK colour values (I can't remember which now) derived from our 2018 RN model paints update to George who CAD drew the camouflage illustrations for Conrad, whilst another Steel Navy user (Richard) provided lots of input on the schemes themselves.
Conrad did not, I hasten to add, get in touch whilst completely clueless about RN camouflage and indeed already had lots of documentation compiled and a good catalogue of images. We enjoyed a nice cup of tea and scones in a little cafe in Portsmouth in February 2018 whilst I was down visiting the Admiralty Library. Conrad and George were struggling to render the colours though, having no coordinates to use.
The illustrations printed beautifully first try without any special printing processes being used which delighted me. It also suggests that the tired old ready-excuse about "printing" used by other authors with spurious illustrations is probably just a smoke screen for Garbage In / Garbage Out.
The book is a very good tome to have though.
