As is well known, HMS Vanguard was built around 4 spare 15" turrets. I presume this had considerable savings in both cost and time. It might have made more sense if, from the late 1930's on, the RN had built more of these ships around Revenge class turrets instead of pressing ahead with further KGVs or planning the Lions around a new 16" design. Was this contemplated?
