It is a brief sequence, 30 secs or so, of painting of the quarterdeck on the portside in the area roughly below X turret and a bit aft of that. It does not show much but here is a still of the key bit showing something lighter (A) than the unpainted wooden deck (C) being painted on this side (forward) of the parallel white lines and something darker (B) being painted on aft of the lines. Does the film include any good views of the deck? You wrote that the camouflage pattern was painted over the deck. Did that include also the light grey parts?
