Re: John Leyland's Midway in Gallery
It is a fine representation and construction indeed!
Does anyone know if Orange Hobby sell the photo etch separately? I am working on the nearly-in-the-same-scale ARII Midway (no, I'm not completely insane, just a little nuts
) and plan/need to hack up a few sets to detail her properly as of 1983. I expect that set would give me most of what I'd need in very nearly the right size.
Thanks for the kind words and beautiful photos. Thank you also for the great coverage of the convention. I can't say enough about the quality of the Orange Hobby kits. There is something about the brass in their photoetch which makes it the best I have ever used. It is soft, easy to cutand yet somehow is strong enough not to crumble easily. Their was not a bubble or undershot anywhere. I am halfway through the USS America LHA-6 and it is just as good. Thank, John
Bravo! Nice work. I've admired his work for many years.
