Hi, Jon. I'm looking for side and top views of either. As I haven't seen any photos of the gun as fitted to PTs, I don't know which version it was. Am hoping to get at least one photo to determine which one. Photos of the mount in other than PT service are numerous, so basic details are not a problem.
The M1, and the M1A2, are different mounts, based on the MG that was mounted. I have the information, since we make both under the Commanders moniker. What information do you need to know?
I'm looking for plans for the 37mm M1 or M1A2 anti-aircraft weapon used by the US Army during WWII. Based on action reports, it was fitted to a number of Higgins PTs in RON20. So far, online searches have not turned up any. This is a totally different weapon than the M3 anti-tank gun and the M4/M9 weapons fitted to PTs.
