Re: Aoshima HMS Norfolk Camo advice needed
I believe she had two different camo schemes in 1943, an early and a late. I do not know which scheme you are referring to , but the early was a complex scheme with very odd shapes, whilst the late scheme was a 3-colour wave-like scheme.
As to sources I would recommend that you google "HMS Norfolk" to see images and "HMS Norfolk camoflage schemes" to view any drawings that may exist.
I just picked up the Aoshima Norfolk (it's the 1942/43 version with the catapult) and the camo scheme is provided as decals. These are for the hull sides only but the box art shows camo on the superstructure, funnels and turrets. I assume this is correct but does anyone know if the camo was ever carried on the hull only as per the kit instructions? And if not, where I can get a plan of the full scheme?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
