Jeff thanks for the quick response, I just finished sending Rick Davis an email asking if he had your email address and went back to SN to finish reading the rest of the new posts. The reason I wanted your address was to send you a NARA RG 71-CA photo of the Maryland showing the port side while in dry-dock at Puget Sound taken in May 1941. The focus of the photo is a building under construction so part of the ship is hidden but what I found interesting was toward the bow. The bow section that can be seen appears to be still in the pre-war lt. gray followed by a medium patch of of zinc or red lead followed by the dark hull color.
My archive scam is 30 MB in size but I have reduced it to a more manageable 11 MB for emailing.
