Ah, heck no. It's a jacket that I got off of Amazon. Back in 1978-83, I had a real USAF issued jacket (from my best friend, a pilot with the MASSACHUSETTS AIR NAT'L GUARD - he flew F-106s, F-15s and a C-21 for them - it had/has over 1,000 flight hours on it - I still have it in storage) that I wore in college. It had his rank (Captain -- he retired a LT. COL) and patches from the 101st FIS --
I decided to create a TOP GUN inspired jacket. I got a TOP GUN patch, a VF-126 and TOMCAT - ANY TIME BABY patch, and my friend's AIR DEFENSE EXPERT patch (to pay homage to him), and a real USN modern nametag that says:
CDR TIM CONNELLY, USN
Back in 1978, my friend gave me an USAF nametag that said:
He did that because, since he was/is aware of speech impediment -- he said that if anyone asked for my name on campus -- all I needed to do was to point to the tag. It worked for 5 years ... it even got me a first date with the girl I ended up dating for 4 years ...
You have a nice jacket too. Is it a US Wings jacket?
Heavy Chevy is right! Although, my brother says it feels lighter to drive than my old Dodge.
It has ONSTAR, Chevy's MyWi (whatever that is - it's on the screen for the radio), a back-up camera (which is friggin' awesome to see in action), it has a Samsung TV which is twice as big as the one in the Dodge, and frankly, bigger than the TV my brother has in our living room! There's even a cooler between the front seats!
The tie-down system is a "smart technology" one ... when my brother comes to a stop, the back tie-downs hooked to my wheelchair ratchet themselves more so as to negate any unnecessary rollage, and then go back to where they were. And, the lift? WOW! It has this thing, where, when it's either deployed but not down, or down, the van cannot be put into gear. The van has this air-ride system (similar to what Range Rovers have) and let me tell you, the ride is ... OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I take it's Winter up there..
