I am looking to sell my copy of "Plans of Ships of the Imperial Japanese Navy" History of Shipbuilding in the Showa Era. Edited by the Society of Naval Architects of Japan. Published by Hara Shobo Co. Ltd. Copyright 1972. This is a magificent, large, heavy book is approximately 12.5" x 11" x 1.25" with 115 pages of very detailed fold out IJN warship plans. When opened up they are approximately 11.5" x 27". Some of the ships are, starting with Mikasa, Kongo, Kirishima, Nagato, Mutsu, Converted Ise, Yamato, Akagi, Hiryu, Shokaku, Taiho, Myoko, Atago, Mogami, Kumano, etc.etc. You get the idea. Each ship covered seems to have side views, plan views, internal structual views and usually detailed views of some significant identifiable section of that ship. The book has a thin, frosted dust jacket and beautiful hinged silver box or carton.
I am asking $325 which is about I paid for it 30 years ago. Reasonable offers will be considered. Shipping in the lower 48 states will be free for Media Mail and at cost for 1st class or Priority Mail. International buyers MUST please contact me before comitting to buy this book. I will send emails with photos to those who not familiar with this book upon request.
This book is pretty rare and it is in "As New" condition, especially considering it is about 48 years old. If you are into building IJN warship models this is for you. Of course it is in Japanese, but with these drawings it doesn't matter.
