Re: Film "Midway"
It was pretty entertaining. I thought it got way more right than I would have expected. The CGI was pretty amazing at times. I am so thrilled that people might take an interest in events that are fading all too rapidly. Maybe people will pick up "Shattered Sword" or "Miracle at Midway". Perhaps kids will model some WWII ships or planes. It was not a documentary, but the movie was able to stick reasonably close to the historical narrative. I was in the theater with about 25 others and they all seemed to like it. I think there's a reason that Hollywood is used as an adjective---it's not supposed to be real!
And yet I bet you watch broadcast TV and sports two of the biggest waste of times ever invented. I'll stick with movies less cost and much better.
I've just returned home from watching the film Midway, this being the first time I've visited a cinema since 1999. It might well be another 20 years after viewing this load of Hollywood Hogwash!
