Re: USS Cleveland CL 55 1/350 to USS Miami CL-89?
Having done Pit Roads Cleveland and Miami, the differences between the two are significant. My recommendation for Mike then would be either wait for a square bridge (any) to come out and do Miami from that, or look to ISW for their resin Miami kit.
Nearly every one of the Cleveland's differed in some respect, and while I am not an expert on the class, if Very Fire provides all the extra parts in any upcoming square bridge kit, you should be able to do any square bridge from a basic kit of same.
I am not sure, in fact I doubt, the same could be said for a Cleveland as commissioned, could be adaptable to any of the immediately following round bridges, Looking at my 1/1200 models, I would suspect no.
Likely lots of aftermarket to come, using CL 55 as the base kit. Or maybe Veryfire will release later Clevelands. Round or square bridge; both look good IMO.
How much would I have to do to modify it to the USS Miami?
