The issue originally posted pertains to Terminal Dues. That is international. If you actually read the articles I have posted, rates to ship overseas are regulated by the UPU, and there are nine different categories. UPU agreements dictate who is where. I have no idea what category Japan is in compared to the US, nor do I especially care. We do not unilaterally control our own overseas shipping charges by virtue of our participating in this international body. And the system is rigged to favor a nation like China. Again, links I have posted show that was okay in an earlier time, but has now changed. This does not make only the US unhappy. The world got together--UPU held a special gathering--and made changes. We did lead it. By all means, blame us for it. I could care less. I'm willing to bet Norway is also happier now, too. Just maybe even others as well. Protest all you want.
US shipping rates are also compared to many other countries very expensive. I mentioned as example the shipping rates from Japan. Sometimes, I have the impression that US does not want to export anything.
