Depends on who manufactured what I am building
For 1/700 weapons you really have to shop around for quality, fit, ease of assembly. Price is another factor. Keep in mind how much quality are you really going to see in 1/700 after you have applied a camo scheme? You donít want underscale or overscale.
The scale of gun tubs and splinter shields are not all the same and they vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and from mold injected to resin. So you look for a quality weapon that can fit all.
Here is my line up for various weapons and parts 3D, Blue Ridge Models, Fine Molds, Shelf Oddity, Paper Lab and Admiralty Models. Each has it own specialty weapon or part which I use. It provides uniformity to my collection just as if it were a real fleet.
After I bought the PIT ROAD 1:700 LST kit(s) from Alan Zalenski and it came in the mail ... I began a search for 20mm and 40mm guns for it because I'm going to have it in a 1944-45 fit.
Someone here suggested I looked at guns made/printed by a company named 3DModelParts. Those guns came in the mail last week. All I can say is that I am impressed by them and they are so small, HA HA.
