His lawyer, a personal friend, is handling the liquidation of the business. I have been volunteering in the store a couple days a week separating the good stuff from the trash. We’ve found new old-stock kits never taken out of the case.
Most of the kits have been sold, the remaining went to a couple of resellers ... then we found more. Books and magazines, maybe Dad & Junior had a system, but they were scattered and often buried. Many of the old magazines were heavily water damaged. Surprisingly there is little evidence of rodent damage. Don’t get me started on the rooms of balsa wood.
We’ve hauled over four tons of trash to the landfill. The third dumper is outside and we’ve told the lawyer that a fourth may be needed.
The building has been sold an we need to be out by the end of October. The end of September is probably the end of retail sales.
