perhaps if the simplicity of the harrier design had not been replaced by the multiple complexities of the F35 without the design and financial competency required we MIGHT JUST HAVE SOME A/C!
The first F-35 landed on Queen Elizabeth just slightly under a year ago. I understand individual aircraft trials on the carrier are complete.
The UK has taken delivery of 17 (I believe) F-35s to date.
This deployment of QE is to begin air group trials with the squadron plus USMC assets.
I think troublesome weapons elevators are less of a problem then lack of aircraft on a carrier.
It looks just like one of the CG videos that were published during the building of the ship.
