Use the s-10 bell housing and the camaro / firebird transmission as the ratios are better. All t-5s have the same bolt patern to the bell housing, only the spline may differ. (but many are the same )

If you use a mustang tail shaft it will put the shifter through the stock hole without moving the transmission. (yes I did this) it will go on the stock cross member and it all fits. the engine is tight to the firewall but you can adjust timing fine and no interference.
