Very interesting.........Your replacement water pump broke the main post of the cast aluminum body of the distributor as you wrenched it down? On the Chevette the water pump is a simple fitment. There is plenty of clearance there even with the bypass tube.

"Rock Auto" I wouldn't put a zip tie on my Chevette from that company!
