Well this car sat for a long time so half the driveshaft had flakey pit rust, top half was standard normal rust, on top of that whenever ziebart undercoated it back in 1980 they sprayed the thick goop on half of the driveshaft So im sure its been out of balance for many moons.

I took the wire wheel in the angle grinder to it today and it cleaned up alot better than I would have expected so thats the current plan is to sandblast the rest then take it to the driveline shop and have them heat up and spurt out the plastic injection holding the 2 originals in and balance it. Then I will paint it with por 15.

I just want to be absolutely sure everything is balanced as I dont want the carrier bearing to get wiped out....

FYI none of the usual stores stock a U joint anymore ordered 2 MOOG greaseable kind from rock auto for $10.XX a piece.
