a spring broke on my 81 chevette and I got the old one out, and the ball joints off the steering knuckle. i want to replace both upper and lower ball joint. got the upper ball joint out but cannot press lower ball joint out. have tried the c clamp press they rent at auto zone etc. and it did not work.

it does press out of the bottom of the lower control arm right? can I replace entire control arm? can't find any out there at parts stores or on line.

any help appreciated!
